NEW Aromatherapy Soaps
Our customers have spoken! You told us you wanted scented soaps. We resisted because we did not want to add any artificial fragrances to our soaps. But you insisted and our new aromatherapy soaps are the result.
Still, nothing artificial in our scented soaps. Instead we use 100% natural essential oils with all their aromatherapy benefits!
This week we are announcing the first two in our upcoming line of aromatherapy soaps – Lavender and Peppermint. These two popular essential oils not only smell wonderful, they bring benefits to your skin as well.
Lavender Soap – BUY IT ONLINE
Two Little Blackbird’s Lavender Soap is made with 100% natural ingredients (like all our products) including olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, and lavender essential oil.
Lavender Essential Oil Benefits: The health benefits of lavender oil for the skin can be attributed to its antiseptic and antifungal properties. It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. It heals wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns rapidly as it aids in the formation of scar tissues. Lavender oil is added to chamomile to treat eczema.
It is also effective against insect bites. The oil is also used to repel mosquitoes and moths. You will find many mosquito repellents containing lavender oil as one of the ingredients.
Precautions: As with many essential oils, pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid using lavender essential oil. It is also recommended that diabetics stay away from lavender oil. It may also cause allergic reactions to people having sensitive skin.
Peppermint Soap – BUY IT ONLINE
Two Little Blackbird’s Peppermint Soap is made with 100% natural ingredients (like all our products) including olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, and peppermint essential oil.
Peppermint Essential Oil Benefits: Peppermint essential oil is very effective when it comes to bacterial eradication. What makes peppermint soap so desirable, though, isn’t just its cleansing properties but its additional effects, in aromatherapy particularly. Peppermint’s aroma brings about a calming effect. Peppermint is also an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, antiseptic and astringent.
The nutrients and menthol content found in peppermint essential oil is responsible for the effects of peppermint soap. Peppermint soap, when applied to the skin in either solid or liquid form, kills germs and bacteria on the surface, leaving residue that can be washed off with water. Peppermint is not drying, as one might assume; rather, it stimulates the skin’s oil production, so use it blended with other oils to treat dry complexions.
